Real Estate and Facilities Management: Information on the Department
The Department of Real Estate and Facilities Management currently has 440 employees and provides all services related to the buildings and land held by the university from a single source.
The department can independently provide all of its services from initial planning of buildings, their technical operation and maintenance and the upkeep of green areas through to carrying out relocation services.
If services are subcontracted outside of the department, the Department of Real Estate and Facilities Management controls the processing and payment of these contracts.
The Department currently manages 235 university-owned buildings (foundation assets) and 15 rented building or sections of buildings with a total floor area of around 600,000 m³, including 66 historical monuments. The total value of the buildings and land currently amounts to approx. Euro 398 million.
