Forest management affects biodiversity and ecosystem functioning in multiple ways. However, we still lack a more detailed understanding of the consequences of different facets of management for biodiversity across temporal and spatial scales. In the talk I will address this by focusing mainly on saproxylic and herbivorous insects across the vertical and horizontal as well as temporal dimensions of temperate forest ecosystems.
