Learning outcome:
Vertical and horizontal coordination in agribusiness supply chains: Performance of agribusiness supply chains; quality management and alternative ownership structures in agribusiness.

Aims:

  • To improve students’ understanding and evaluation of different ownership structures in agribusiness
  • To equip students with the necessary skills to critically analyse and evaluate agribusiness supply chains in terms of chain management and performance

Lecture

Exam:
Written Project 1 (50%), Written Project 2 (20%), Written Project 3 (30%)

Prerequisite for examination:
On completion of this course, students will:

  • Have an understanding of different business structures in agribusiness
  • Be able to critically analyse the performance of an agribusiness supply chain
