Mark Skamrahl, M.Sc.
I am a Biochemist by training with a strong interest in the physical functioning of biological systems. Working and studying at the interface of biology, physics, and chemistry, my aim is to understand medically relevant problems in living cells by combining state-of-the-art biophysical techniques.
I obtained a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Göttingen and a master’s degree in the “Biochemistry and Biophysics” program at the University of Freiburg.
In my Ph.D. project, I study collective cell migration, which is essential in vital processes such as wound healing, applying a variety of biophysical methods.
