Learning Objectives:

  • To understand the conceptual and theoretical foundations of (electronic) securities trading and trading-related decisions.
  • To understand market models, market structure design and trading processes in securities trading.
  • To interpret, determine and understand different concepts for assessing the market quality e.g. market efficiency, latency and transaction costs.
  • To understand brokerage services and related business value.

Examination: Witten examination (90 minutes)

Examination requirements:

Demonstration of the knowledge of theoretical foundations and function of the electronic securities trading that and the achieving of the learning objectives.

Prior knowledge recommended: "Introduction to Finance"
