Migration and Health: Panel discussion of the Centre for Global Migration Studies (in German).

5th night of knowledge

09.07.2022, 17:00-18:30 (CEST)

After more than two years of the Corona pandemic, there is ample evidence that the right to health does not apply equally to all. For example, migrants and people affected by racism have a higher risk of contracting Covid-19. Together with experts from science, civil society and journalism, we will discuss inequality and discrimination in health care.

Panelists:

Michael Knipper
, Professorship for Global Health, Migration and Cultural Studies in Medicine, University of Giessen, Germany
Gilda Sahebi, Journalist / Doctor / Author
Hanna Kretschmer and Robin Gerhard (Medinetz Göttingen)

Moderation:

Aleksandra Lewicki
, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Sociology, University of Sussex and Visiting Researcher at CeMig.

The event will take place in the lecture hall ZHG 007
