Nanjing German-Chinese Law Forum 2018 on "Sustainability and Agriculture from a Comparative Perspective"

From the 5th til the 7th of November 2018, the Nanjing German-Chinese Law Forum 2018 on "Sustainability and Agriculture from a Comparative Perspective" took place in Nanjing (China) with the participation of a delegation of agricultural lawyers from science and practice in Germany. The conference was organized by the German-Chinese Institute of Law of the Universities of Göttingen and Nanjing as well as the Institute of Agricultural Law of the University of Göttingen.
The German delegation included Prof. Dr. Ewald Endres of the Faculty of Forest and Forestry Weihenstephan-Triesdorf, Dr. Meinhart List from the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture and Dr. Erich Koch from the Social Insurance for Agriculture, Forestry and Horticulture. The Institute for Agricultural Law was represented by the following members: Prof. Dr. José Martínez, the lecturer RA Dr. Bernd von Garmissen and Christiane Grass, as well as the scientific staff of the Institute Dipl. Jur. Lukas Helfrich, Dipl. Jur. Anna-Lena Poppe, Dipl. Jur. Maren Müller-Menzel and Dipl. Jur. Merle Welk. During the conference, lectures on sustainability and agriculture were held by the German and Chinese sides and subsequently discussed and commented on.
The delegation from Germany combined the participation in the conference with a visit of the German-Chinese Institute for Law of the Universities of Göttingen and Nanjing at the University of Nanjing as well as the visit of various cultural monuments in and around Nanjing.
