Research Fellowship at the Department of Church history


Zachary PurvisZachary Purvis (DPhil, University of Oxford) works on Reformation and modern European history, and modern theology. He was previously Kingdon Fellow at the Institute for Research in the Humanities at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA) and Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the University of Edinburgh (UK).

Selected publications include the prize-winning book, Theology and the University in Nineteenth-Century Germany (Oxford University Press, 2016).

He was a holder of a "Humboldt Research Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers" and will spend a two-year fellowship at the Faculty of Theology in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Thomas Kaufmann.
