Sabrina Rhode
Sabrina is a medical student at Hannover Medical School and doctoral student at the Medical Faculty of Heidelberg. She takes a great interest in the field of Global Health as well as endocrinology and non-communicable diseases. In addition to her studies, she has participated in a few summer schools dealing with this topics (one of them supervised in by Prof. Dr. Sebastian Vollmer and Prof. Dr. Dr. Till Bärnighausen). She joined CeMIS to der her medical thesis under the supervision of prof. Sebastian Vollmer. Sabrina will work in the field of diabetes research and will join a team working on an IDF project in Indonesia investigating the suitability of peer education to improve diabetes management and outcomes and will work on the establishment of point-of-care testing in this setting.
