On this page, the Dean of Studies Office compiles information on the virtual semester.
If you have ideas, tips and suggestions on the topic or even experience in the area of e-learning/e-exams, we look forward to your feedback at studiendekanat@physik.uni-goettingen.de.
Stay well!

BigBlueButton video conferencing service

href="https://meet.gwdg.de/b">BigBlueButton (BBB) at https://meet.gwdg.de. It serves as a video conferencing service, but can also be used for learning scenarios.

Communication at course level via Stud.IP

Stud.IP is particularly suitable for communication at course level by the lecturers. Alternative channels should be avoided as far as possible. Students who are already registered can be contacted via Stud.IP and provided with material and, if necessary, video conference links. This also applies to courses that are not to be digitised initially, but are to take place in person at a later date (in this case, reading notes may be useful in advance). In any case, Stud.IP should show whether a course will be digitised, postponed or cancelled.
Teachers who still need support in using Stud.IP can contact the Team Digital Learning and Teaching.

HS Streaming Technology

Dear Winter Semester Lecturers,
Many of you will have received automated emails from Zoom about your lecture in the Winter Semester. I attach a spreadsheet of links and passwords. You will need to add the link to Stud.IP/distribute it to your students by email.
If you expect to give a lecture from a HS which you will also stream to the internet or record (it's the same system) using the built in technology and you are not in this spreadsheet please get in touch.
I will shortly set up access to the Owncloud folders for the lecture recordings. I strongly suggest that you do not sync this folder to your local computer as video files are large. Lectures are recorded locally and then stored on GWDG owned servers. You have access via Owncloud. At the end of the semester you can choose what to do with your recordings.
I am available to give an introduction to the technology...
Best Wishes,
Anne
