Vice-President for Student and Academic Services Professor Christian Ammer

Professor Christian Ammer has been Vice-President for Student and Academic Services at the University of Göttingen since 1 December 2021. The University Senate elected the forest scientist for a term of two years and he holds this office alongside his other academic and administrative roles. Ammer has held a professorship for Silviculture and Forest Ecology of Temperate Zones at the University of Göttingen since 2007. From 2012 to 2016, and again from 2020 until the end of November 2021, he was Dean of the Faculty of Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology. From 2017 to 2019, he was a member of the University Senate.
