8. Monzeler Weinrechtstag on August 9th, 2019

Same procedure as every year: The Institute of Agricultural Law again organizes its traditional conference on wine law. The topic of this year's 8. Monzeler Weinrechtstag is "The quality of wine".

The quality of the wine has always been determined by legal requirements. These legal requirements are based on scientific knowledge, sensory expectations and cultural traditions. This combination of objective and subjective criteria leads to a regionally different perspective on the standards that are relevant to the quality.
10 years ago, in 2009, the EU put the labeling-law at the center of quality assessment. Therefore, the goal will be to assess whether the current legal quality system has worked well, predict whether it will withstand the future challenges of climate change, and analyze the practical implementation, particularly in wine testing.

The conference will take place on August 9th, 2019 in Osann-Monzel at the winery of Karl Veit.
