Learning outcome, core skills
Advanced knowledge of planning and execution of scientific experiments in the field of human genetics. Accurate and detailed documentation of the experimental design and performance of the experiments as well as of the obtained results. Evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of the applied methods. Research and consideration of the basics (text book knowledge) and published original papers in the specific field of research. Discussion of the obtained results.


Courses and examinations

  • Methods course, 9 weeks, in laboratory of a work group of the institute for human genetics

  • Prerequisite for examination:
  • scientific presentation and discussion of the results in form of a short publication

  • Examinations: oral examination (ca. 30 minutes)
