Alumni Day 2022: A reunion after 25 years

"The coffee stains on the floor are still mine," joked one graduate when he saw lecture hall ZHG 010 again after 25 years. As part of the Alumni Day of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen on 9 July 2022, the Faculty of Business and Economics had invited its former students and especially those who had graduated in Göttingen 25 years ago.

Thus, after 25 years, around 70 former students had a reunion on campus. Graduates from the years 1995, 1996 and 1997 came together to talk about old times and celebrate the anniversary of their "Silver Diploma". Due to the COVID19 pandemic, no Alumni Day could take place in Göttingen in 2020 and 2021, so three years were invited in 2022.

After a brief overview of the Faculty of Business and Economics and its current activities in research and teaching, the alumni explored the campus together with students of the faculty. The event ended with a shared coffee and many anecdotes from their studies. The participants also gained many interesting insights into the diverse research at the Faculty and University at the fifth Göttingen Night of Science ("Nacht des Wissens"), which directly followed the alumni programme.
