Zahed Shakeri works as a postdoctoral researcher in the section Social-ecological interactions in agricultural systems at the University of Kassel in Witzenhausen, since April 2019. He was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Forestry, University of Kurdistan, Iran since 2012. He studied Forestry at the University of Kurdistan and did his PhD in Forest Ecology at the University of Tehran, Iran.
He is interested in forest vegetation dynamic, natural and anthropogenic disturbance and biodiversity conservation. His current project is: “Sacred Groves as a Complementary Conservation Strategy to Formal Protected Areas: A social-Ecological Approach”.
