SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

Understanding how a single gene can affect the development of an organ or its function has dragged my interest towards developmental biology which I believe would be the key for curing a lot of diseases. Furthermore, the dream of having regenerative medicine to cure incurable heart diseases as myocardial infarction and neurodegenerative diseases as Alzheimer and Parkinson’s disease has made regenerative studies an attractive field for me. Through the Molecular Biology program, I hope to get exposed to several other fields and to enrich my knowledge which will then act as stepping stone to my future studies through which I aim to contribute in revolutionizing the field.
