Basic requirement: fulfillment of the language requirements
The majority of our partner universities require minimum language levels. These must be met for participating in the Erasmus+-program. Language courses completed beyond the requirements will be evaluated positively.

Selection criteria:
The applicants are evaluated and selected by the Erasmus+ team. The overall impression that the applicant can convey with his or her documents is decisive. Individual criteria are listed below in order of importance:

  • 1. Presentation of the professional and personal motivation
This is assessed based on the letter of motivation and the curriculum vitae. In addition to the professional relevance of the intended stay abroad, knowledge of the host country, social commitment or voluntary activities are also considered. Language courses completed beyond the basic requirements will be evaluated positively.
  • 2. Academic performance
This is assessed based on the performance achieved to date, which is taken from the summary of achievements (FlexNow data sheet) and the Bachelor certificate.
  • 3. Outline of the financing
This is evaluated based on the breakdown and evaluation of various costs for studying a semester abroad. More information about this can be found in testimonials from other Erasmus+ students.

Choosing the right partner university is probably the most important step for your application. Please find some recommendations in the following:

  • Do you want to choose a specific major that is particularly renowned at one of the partner universities, or for which a particular university offers a large number of courses?
  • Do you want to improve your language skills in a specific language or learn a new language? Note: You can study in English at many partner universities, so a stay in an English-speaking country is not necessary to improve your English skills.
  • Make your motivation clear and find out which universities offer the best opportunities for you. Make sure that the courses offered are suitable and that the language and subject requirements are met for each partner university. Not all universities are suitable for all study programs - therefore take enough time to inform yourself about the courses offered and already recognized courses at our faculty in the FlexStat recognition database (query: 336).
