The Research Training Group "Globalization and Development" (GlaD) and the Research Project on "Reducing Poverty Risk in Developing Countries" are organizing an international conference, to be held on May 3-4, 2018, in Göttingen, Germany.
The conference program will focus on globalization and development topics.
Fields of particular interest are:
- aid and international capital flows
- demography and health
- education and labor market
- finance and taxation
- migration, terrorism and conflict
- poverty and inequality
- risk and vulnerability
- social networks and norms
- trade and technological change
The submission deadline for papers was November 30, 2017. Submitted papers have been reviewed by members of the program committee and notifications of acceptance for oral presentations and poster sessions have been sent out. The registration deadline for accepted speakers is February 15th, 2018.
The registration period for listeners will start on March 1st, 2018 and will be open until April 23th, 2018.
There is a conference fee of 50€ to be paid in cash on-site.

There will be a limited number of travel stipends. Doctoral students whose paper have been accepted for oral or poster presentation and who do not receive travel funding from their local institution can apply for this stipend. It is particularly intended for students from developing countries. Applications to receive one of the stipends are only possible after acceptance.
