SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

Cellular tumor biology and infection-related cancer are the topics I find to be most interesting. Having a tumor cell for a model system provides a new perspective that might allow better understanding of all the mechanisms that underlie biological processes. Furthermore, I think it is one of the biggest challenges for contemporary medicine and global health care to bridge the gap between fundamental research and clinical practice. During my stay in Göttingen, I would like to narrow my interests and get familiar with many different approaches and techniques.
