The RTG 1723 Globalization and Development is currently looking for new student assistants for support on desk research, proof reading and conferences.

The position would consist of 20-40 hours/month and hourly pay according to standard wage (Bachelor students: 9,70 EUR; Master students: 11,29 EUR).
The tasks are mainly literature and data research, data management, some administrative tasks and organizational support on conferences.
It is required that the applicant is a student in BA or MA in economics (or a related discipline), has very good or good academic achievements, very good English skills, knowledge of MS Office and Stata, as well. The availability should be until March 2019 or longer.
Additionally, for the proof-reading position the aspirant should be a native speaker.

The RTG's third cohort of doctoral students have started in April 2018.

There will be no further funded positions in the future since the third cohort is the last one within GLAD.

The only possibility to enter the program is to start a PhD with one of our Principal Investigators and become an affiliated PhD student of the program. In order to do so, potential candidates would have to contact the Principal Investigators directly and individually. The requirements for a successful application for and/or affiliation to GLAD are an outstanding degree (Master/Diploma) in economics or a closely related field, strong quantitative skills, very good English skills, and some expertise in development / international economics.
