Handling of state of the art equipment, critical dealing with current biochemical topics, detailed analysis of experiments and their presentation

Courses:
Methods course: "Structural Biochemistry" (10 WLH)
Content: Biochemical analysis of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids using photometric assays, electrophoresis, thin layer chromatography as well as fully automated analysis tools (HPLC/GC/GCMS). Spectroscopy of biomolecules (fluorescence, FT-IR, CD, UV/Vis), modern microscopy techniques (optical microscopy, scanning probe techniques), functional analysis of different membrane protein classes

Examination: protocol (max. 10 pages)
Prerequisite for examination: regular participation in methods course, submission of all protocols in time
