SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am concerned with cancer – a rising scourge of modern society. Unlike most other illnesses, cancer appearance is almost unpredictable. One can prevent or substantially reduce the risk of getting an infection by taking simple safety measures. In contrast to that, one can hardly influence the risk of cancer development. Despite all efforts being taken, hardly any effective treatment against this disease has been developed. However the initial stage of cancer is principally curable, therefore the development of diagnostic methods is crucial in the fight against this dreadful illness. This is the foundation of my future studies, my priority goal.
