The roundtable „Challenges of Current Migration Studies“ brought together outstanding academics of the field to debate prevailing issues of contemporary migration research with regard to methodological and theoretical approaches. The panelists are Prof. Dr. Carlos Sandoval García (Institute for Social Research, University of Costa Rica), Prof. Dr. Georges Eugene Fouron (Department of Africana Studies, Stony Brook University, New York) and Dr. Mulki Al-Sharmani (Faculty of Theology, University of Helsinki). Prof. Dr. Steven Vertovec (Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity, Göttingen) moderated the session.
