The Intensive exchange with practice is an integral component of the work at our Chair. The teaching, our practice partners and our research benefit from this exchange. The integration of practical examples and practice lectures helps our students to link theoretical concepts with real company conditions, and thus, to get an idea of the actual implementation and limits of such concepts. Furthermore, the close collaboration with practice partners allows us to enrich our research with current phenomena in practice and thereby identify fruitful avenues for future research. In the course of research projects with practice partners, we apply current scientific methods to investigate current phenomena in practice and derive concrete management implications.
Examples for possible forms of cooperation:
- Guest lectures throughout our courses
- Joint studies on current phenomena in practice
- Theses in cooperation with practice
- Case study based courses
The design of a cooperation is always individually set-up depending on the specific goals of the practice partner and the topic. We attach high importance to concrete and visible final products to ensure the success of the collaboration. Examples of current practice cooperations can be found here.
If you are interested in cooperating with the Chair of Management and Control, please do not hesitate to contact Prof. Dr. Michael Wolff or other employees of our Chair.
