Edzo Veldkamp
Edzo Veldkamp is head of the section Ecopedology of the Tropics and Subtropics Faculty of Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology. His main interests are how the C and N cycles of natural and managed (forest and agricultural) ecosystems are affected by 'Global Change' processes like: changes in temperature and rainfall, increased N deposition, and land use changes.
Key expertise:
• Trace gas fluxes from terrestrial ecosystems
• Ecosystem C and N dynamics
• Application of stable isotopes
• Biogeochemistry of deeply weathered tropical soils
