Research focus

Prof. Dr. Bueren and his team focus their research on issues of antitrust law as well as
corporate and capital markets law, often from a broad comparative perspective and/or taking
into account legal economics.

In the realm of antitrust law, a special focus is in particular on issues of competition policy in
times of digitalization as well as on public and private antitrust enforcement.

Within corporate and capital markets law, research focuses include legal framework’s
suitability for sustainable business (corporate law debate on short-term orientation/short-
termism and countermeasures; capital markets law’s trend towards sustainable finance) as
well as the law on family businesses (incl. counseling in the latter field).
