SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I am interested in multidrug resistance of cancer cells, causing by family of ABC-transporters and apoptosis, causing by 2’,5’-OAS and ODK dysfunction in cells. In my opinion, molecular biology as well as biochemistry are called to find a rescue from scourge illness of our century – AIDS, cancer, multiply sclerosis, Alzheimer disease, etc. I am concerned with two of them – cancer and MS. My goal is to obtain a deeper understanding in the molecular basis of these processes and thus be equipped to develop new therapeutic approaches for these diseases.
