SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

So far, I have been involved in projects that aim to elucidate mechanisms of oncogenesis. Certainly, studying the basic science of diseases is a track that I want to pursue but eventually I do want to expand my expertise to include translational research – often termed as “bench to bedside” work. Cancer is definitely among my top topics to focus on but I’m also very curious about diseases of the immune and nervous systems, and diseases caused by viruses.
