The use of music to advocate or incite hatred and violence

Musical practices are often implicated in promoting fear and hatred of other groups - but when do such practices really present a danger, and why?

This fundamental question runs through most of the research conducted by the group.
In addition, a number of projects address specific questions relating to how music may used in such a way as to violate relevant international human rights standards on racial and religious hatred, and what legal and other measures are available in response.
