The German Alumni Food Network (GAFooN) has been established to better coordinate activities and to support the knowledge exchange among the Alumni and Alumnae of German Universities. It is the outcome of a joint effort of DAAD and the Universities of Göttingen, Hannover and Hohenheim. The GAFooN provides contact information from and for DAAD Alumni and Alumnae active in the areas of agriculture, food processing and nutrition. The detailed tasks of the network will be

1. information exchange on new aspects of the agricultural, food and nutrition research,
2. establishment of project collaborations,
3. organisation of regional workshops, and
4. publicity work for the GAFooN at scientific events and fairs in the involved countries.
