### Professors

- Fred Böker was an extraordinary professor responsible for teaching introductory mathematics and statistics courses to bachelor students until his retirement in 2013.
- Stefan Sperlich was professor for Econometrics until 2011. He is now professor for Statistics at University of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland.
- Walter Zucchini was professor for Statistics until his retirement in 2011.

### PhD students & Postdocs

- Daniel Adler was a PhD student in the statistics group under supervision of Walter Zuchini and completed his PhD in 2012. He later also worked part time as a postdoc in the statistics group.
- Andreas Groll was a postdoc in the statistics group from 2016 to 2017. In 2017 he moved to TU Dortmund for a junior professorship for Data Analysis and Statistical Algorithms which was lately tenured to an assistant professorship in Statistical Methods for Big Data.
- Julien Hambuckers was a postdoc in the statistics group from 2016 to 2018. In 2018 he moved to HEC Liège for a professorship in Finance.
- Julia Hillmann was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2011 to 2012 when she decided to move completely to neurosciences where she completed her PhD in 2015.
- Nadja Klein was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2012 to 2014. Afterwards, she worked as a postdoc in the statistics group, spent two years in Melbourne with Michael S. Smith as a Feodor Lynen fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and then moved to University of Cologne for a junior professorship in Econometrics in 2018. Later in 2018 she moved to HU Berlin for a junior professorship in Applied Statistics.
- Juliane Manitz was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2011 to 2014 and then continued to work there as a postdoc. In 2016, she moved to Boston University for a Feodor Lynen fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation with Eric D. Kolaczyk as local host.
- Simone Maxand was a PhD student in the econometrics group from 2012 to 2017. After a postdoc period in Göttingen, she moved to the University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland, for a postdoc position.
- Patrick Michaelis was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2014 to 2017. In 2018 he started working as a postdoc at GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel.
- Oleg Nenadic was a postdoc in the statistics group until 2015.
- Malte Rengel was a PhD student in the econometrics group from 2012 to 2015.
- Hauke Thaden was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2013 to 2017.
- Bruno Santos was a postdoc in the statistics group from 2018 to 2019 when he moved to University of Vitória, Vitória, Brazil as a professor in Statistics.
- Katharina Schley was a PhD student in the econometrics group from 2013 to 2018. she is now working at Pfizer (Germany)
- Holger Sennhenn-Reulen was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2012 to 2015. He is now working as a postdoc at Northwest German Forest Research Institute (NW-FVA), Göttingen.
- Fabian Sobotka was a postdoc in the statistics group from 2012 to 2014. He is now working as a postdoc at Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg.
- Elmar Spiegel was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2014 to 2017. After a postdoc period in Göttingen, he moved to HelmholtzZentrum München as a postdoc.
- Patrick Starkloff was a PhD student in the econometrics group from 2016 to 2019.
- Egle Tafenau was a postdoc in the statistics and econometrics group from 2013 to 2018.
- Gábor B. Uhrin was a PhD student in the econometrics group from 2016 to 2017.
- Maren Ulm was a PhD student and teaching assistant in the econometrics group from 2014 to 2018. After a postdoc period in Göttingen, she is now working at KBC bank (Belgium).
- Elisabeth Waldmann was a PhD student in the statistics group from 2010 to 2013. After postdoc periods in Göttingen and at the University of Liverpool, she moved to University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, where she now leads a Zeitgeist-Fellow research group.

- Muriel Buri was visiting Göttingen from September 2018 to February 2019 as a PhD student (under supervision of Torsten Hothorn, University of Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland).
- Gillian Heller was visiting Göttingen in November 2017 and May 2019. She is professor for Statistics at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.
- Masha Nadifar was visiting Göttingen from February to October 2019 as a PhD student (under supervision of Hossein Baghishani, Shahrood University of Technology, Shahrood, Iran).
- Bruno de Sousa was visiting Göttingen in December 2017 and from December 2018 to March 2019. He is professor for Statistics at University of Coimbra, Coimbra, Portugal.
- Lieke Voncken was visiting Göttingen from April to October 2018 as a PhD student (under supervision of Marieke Timmerman, University of Groningen, Groningen, The Netherlands).

### Coordination and Administration

- Katharina Burmeister was providing statistical consulting to bachelor and master students from 2011 to 2013.
- Monika Carlsson was coordinator of the research training group 1644 Scaling Problems in Statistics in 2016.
- Jan Fahrenholz was responsible for the IT at StatOek from 2012 to 2015. He is now working at GWDG (Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung mbH Göttingen).
- Henriette Irmer was coordinator of the Centre for Statistics from 2014 to 2017 when she became coordinator of the International Max Planck Research School Genome Science - IMPRS-GS.
- Julia Meskauskas was Coordinator of the Centre for Statistics from 2012 to 2014.
- Lisa Reinecke was coordinator of the research training group 1644 Scaling Problems in Statistics in 2016.
- Ellen Riefling was secretary of the statistics group until her retirement in 2012.
- Ann-Kathrin Weikert (neé Rummler) was secretary of the Centre for Statistics until 2012 when she joined the dean’s office at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
