Kevin Darras primarily analyzes bird and bat diversity, function and services in rainforest transformation systems. We acoustically sample sonant animals in oil palm, and rubber plantations, jungle rubber, shrubland, and secondary forest. Some recordings are available online at
http://soundefforts.uni-goettingen.de/v3/.

We conduct point counts, mist netting, and exclusion studies, and carry out diet analyses, meta-analyses, methodological assessments of acoustic sampling methods, and market surveys.
During phase 3, Kevin Darras is coordinating a large-scale, rapid assessment of biota, environmental processes, and socio-economic dimensions within the frame of the Landscape Assessment.
