Göttingen International

Proof of German language proficiency

Type of Document: "Language Certificate"

At the time of application evidence of a successfully passed German language course is required. This evidence has to be a copy.
In addition, it has to be an officially certified translation if the document was not issued in German, English or French.
Graduates of "Studienkolleg" (preparatory college), please upload the "Feststellungsprüfung" as proof of language certificate. In this case you will have to upload the "Feststellungsprüfung" two times during the application procedure.

Whoever has received admission in Göttingen for a regular course of study must submit proof for enrolment of having passed the accredited DSH-2 examination (in some courses of studies DSH-3) at the Lectorate for German as a Foreign Language. Whoever has proof of an equivalent examination, can request an exemption at the Lectorate. A DSH-certificate of another university can only be accepted if the DSH-examination regulations are registered at the HRK (German Rector's Conference).

It is your responsibility to acquire the required language proficiencies for enrolment.
