Faculty of Economic Sciences bid farewell to Fall graduates

The Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Göttingen bid farewell to Fall graduates on Friday, 21 October 2016: In the summer semester 2016, 394 students received their degrees: 248 students received degrees in the Bachelor's programmes and 146 students successfully completed a Master's programme. The Faculty of Economic Sciences introduced such graduation ceremonies at the University of Göttingen 30 years ago.

The Dean of Study, Prof. Dr. Gerhard Rübel welcomed the participants to the festive event. Then spoke Prof. Dr. Waldemar Toporowski, chairman of the Board of Examiners of the Economic Sciences, and Jonas Hafa as representative of the alumni.

Awards for outstanding graduates from the Faculty of Economic Sciences in the amount of 1,000 Euros each were also given. The internationally active laboratory and process technology provider Sartorius donated the prize for graduates that is named after the founder of the company. The "Florenz Sartorius-Preis" is awarded to the best graduates in the discipline of Business Administration, Economics, Business Information Systems, and Business and Human Resource Education.

The recipients of the graduate prizes in October 2016 are Friederike Nagels (Master of Science in Marketing and Channel Management), Jonas Fabian Rudsinske (Bachelor of Arts in Economics), Robin Busse (Master of Education in Business and Human Resource Education) and Raphael Meyer von Wolff (Master of Science in Business Information Systems).
