Compulsory Student Guidance and Counselling (2 Failed Attempts)

Compulsory Student Guidance and Counselling upon Failing an Examination Twice

  • In accordance with the ZESS Examination Regulations, §10, Abs. 3, students are obliged to attend a guidance and counselling session should they fail a module twice.

  • Students who fail an examination twice and do not attend a guidance and counselling session at ZESS shall be barred from taking the examination a third time.

  • The guidance and counselling session shall be conducted by the supervisor of your subject. Here, students have the chance to discuss what went wrong during the previous examination and shall learn how to prepare for the third try.

  • How:

    • Make an appointment with your subject supervisor (Link)

    • Print out and fill up the form 'Compulsory Student Guidance and Counselling at ZESS' (Link) and bring it with you to the session.

    • Be present at the appointed session.

    • At the end of the session, let your supervisor sign the form 'Compulsory Student Guidance and Counselling at ZESS' and hand it in to the ZESS Assessment Board.

    • You shall then be permitted to register for a third try.
