July 2000: Expedition from Chengdu to East-Tibet, to Daocheng and into the eastern flank of Minya Gonka, Dato Valley

July to September 2000: Research expedition to the Karakorum S-slope (Chogolungma Glacier, Basna Valley), the Deosai Plateau, to the NW-Karakorum (Malubiting-massif with Bualtar- and Barpu Glacier, Nagar) and to the W-Karakorum (Kampire Dior-massif with Kukuar Glacier and Bar Valley) to record the geomorphological altitude level and to reconstruct the maximum Pleistocene glacier cover (maximum past level of the ice stream network)

September to October 2002: Research expedition into the S-slopes of Dhaulagiri- and Annapurna Himal

October 2002: Scientific excursion from Chengdu (PR of China) through the Minyang Valley and to the Xuebao-massif in East-Tibet
February to March 2004: (sabbatical semester): Research expeditions into the Chulu- and Damodar Himalaya

March to April 2004: Scientific expedition into the Garhwal Himalaya (North-India)

March to April 2005: Scientific expedition to the north slope of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna and to the Kore La in Mustang (southern Tibet)

Juli to September 2006: Scientific expedition to the East-Muztagh-Karakorum and NW-Karakorum.

August and September 2007: Scientific expedition to the Damodar-Himalaya.

March to May 2008: Scientific excursion to the Langtang-Himalaya and research expedition to Manaslu east flank.

August to October 2009: Quaternary geomorphological investigations in the gorges between Chengdu and Namche Bawar and on the northern slopes of the Dhaulagiri Himal and in the Dolpo (Kanjiroba)

September 2010: survey of the scientifically discussed Hannibal crossings in Southern Alps under personal leadership

November 2010: sedimentological researches in the Thak Khola (Dhaulagiri-Annapurna Himalaya)
