  • 2009-2016 Coordinator of the Carbiocial project, with twelve German subprojects, in collaboration with the UFMT (Cuiabá, Sinop), Embrapa Rice & Beans (Goiânia), and UFPA-NAEA (Belém), Brazil (financed by the BMBF)

  • 2006-2009 Researcher and coordinator of the project "Degradation of cattle pastures in the North-Eastern Amazon” with six subprojects, in collaboration with the Embrapa Amazônia Oriental (three-years stay in Belém, Brazil)(financed by the DFG)
