Dr. Katja Suckow

Generally, I'm interested in online comprehension processes, especially sentence processing. Before joining the team in Göttingen, I finished my Phd at the University of Dundee in Scotland. In my thesis I distinguish effects of number interference and number attraction during sentence processing.

I did my undergraduate degree at the HU in Berlin studying American studies, Philosophy and Computer Science, but quickly became interested in the experimental research of Psycholinguistics. In my undergraduate thesis I investigated the processing of complex sentences that are perceived to be ungrammatical.
I primarily use eye-tracking to investigate online processes and am generally interested in new methods to analyse the various measures provided by this paradigm.
