Lecture & Tutorial Entrepreneurship (Master's Degree Program)

Learning Objectives:
This course is intended to provide students with an overview of entrepreneurial thinking and acting in start-ups and established companies (Corporate Entrepreneurship). In addition, students will learn the important basics of entrepreneurship research. The language of the course is mainly German, but partly also English (for example for scientific articles).

Course Content:
Lecture:
In the first part of the lecture, basic contents of start-up entrepreneurship are taught. This refers to basic tools of entrepreneurship, such as Lean Startup, Business Model Canvas, Design Thinking, Effectuation and the basics of writing a business plan. In the second part of the lecture, the content of corporate entrepreneurship is taught, such as the way corporate entrepreneurship can be promoted among the employees. In addition, the lecture will provide knowledge on how to understand scientific articles in the field of start-up and corporate entrepreneurship.

Tutorial:
As part of the accompanying exercise, students deepen and expand their knowledge and skills acquired in the lecture. This refers especially to the application of the learned methods of start-up and corporate entrepreneurship learned in the lecture (e.g. design thinking) and the discussion of scientific research papers in the field of entrepreneurship.

This course will be held for the first time in the winter term 2023/2024.
