Marhawati Mappatoba

I graduated from the University of Goettingen in April 2004 in the area of the Socioeconomics of Agriculture. After graduation, I worked as a senior lecturer at the Socioeconomic Department at the Agriculture Faculty, TADULAKO University in Palu INDONESIA.
I am currently working as the head of the Agribusiness Study Center at the Faculty of Agriculture and counterpart research of Indonesian Bank of Palu. The program is related to an international research collaboration between the University of Goettingen and Tadulako University and is called the STORMA PROGRAM. One feature at the University of Goettingen that was important for me was the involvement of all students in the afternoon coffee meeting which was conducted every 2 weeks. All students were to discuss their progress and problems. If I had a problem with Statistics, someone could help solve it. I believe it is a nice experience to study in Goettingen: you can get a better horizon to improve your academic knowledge. It is easy to find solutions for all our problems as long that we want to ask our colleagues to find solution.
