Dr. Martin Balleer, an honorary professor of the Faculty, has been awarded the Verdienstkreuz am Bande des Verdienstordens (Cross of the Order of Merit) of the Federal Republic of Germany. He was honoured for his diverse volunteer work, including his work with the German Actuarial Association and the International Handel Festival.
