The Georg-August-University is one of the few universities in Germany which offer a specialization in Development Economics. “International and Development Economics” can be selected as a field in the degree program for Economics, Business Administration, Business Education, Computer Sciences and the Social Sciences. A bachelor’s program in Economics and a master’s program in International Economy have been implemented, making it possible to specialize in Latin American economic issues at the master’s level.

Members of the IAI regularly hold courses for students in this field and are responsible for the Latin America topics within the master’s program. The IAI accepts qualified Ph.D. candidates and fellows to carry out their research project provided it is in line with the Institute’s overall research program.
