The Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, with its highly qualified and active groups of scientists, and its privileged access to world-class astronomical facilities through the Institut für Astrophysik, is an exciting place to do science. Active collaboration and cooperation with many research groups makes the experience extremely motivating. An attractive aspect of the Institute is its observational-oriented research approach, using state-of-the-art and self-developed instrumentation to cover many areas of Astrophysics.

The arrival to University was a short and efficient process due to the excellent Welcome Center, which took care of all the bureaucratic formalities like visa, housing, health insurance, bank account, etc. Thanks to them I was able to start working soon after my arrival, saving a lot of time and energy.
