- 19.07.2018: The organization of WoCaNet 2019 is on track!
- We are pleased to introduce our first keynote speaker: Prof. Dr. Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard. She is the Director Emeritus of a research group at the Max Planck Institute of Developmental Biology in Tübingen, where she has also worked as a director for 29 years. Her current research work includes colour pattern formation in the zebrafish. Among other honours, she was awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine or Physiology together with Eric Wieschaus and Edward Lewis in 1995. To support women with children in science, she created the Christiane-Nüsslein-Volhard-Stiftung.
"In mathematics and science, there is no difference in the intelligence of men and women.
The difference in genes between men and women is simply the Y chromosome,
which has nothing to do with intelligence."
