International Ph.D. programme Catalysis for Sustainable Synthesis (CaSuS)

Within the doctoral programme CaSuS, supervisors from three different institutes of the Department of Chemistry (Institute for Inorganic Chemistry, Institute for Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry, Institute for Physical Chemistry) offer Ph.D. positions on research subjects in the area of catalysis. In addition to cutting-edge research, a specific interdisciplinary educational programme including lectures and workshops, conferences, excursions and secondary skill courses, is part of CaSuS.

Lectures and courses are held in English, and the thesis must be written in English.

The programme started in October 2009 and is designed to lead to a Ph.D. degree within six semesters. Students may join the programme at the beginning of every new semester.

CaSuS is funded by the Ministry for Science and Culture of Lower Saxony (15 Lichtenberg-Stipendien).

Qualified students are encouraged to apply for a position by
