Course work and research acitivites of PhD students will be an integral part of the Centre for Modern Indian Studies.
CeMIS does not offer a full-fledged PhD programme, yet. Nonetheless, a number of PhD projects are supervised by the CeMIS research groups. The doctoral students are supported by continuous events and courses offered at CeMIS.
CeMIS closely works together with the Göttingen Graduate School of Social Science (GGG) and the Göttingen Graduate School of Humanities (GSGG). It also collaborates with the Courant Centre 'Poverty, equity, and growth in developing and transition countries' and the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity.
