• CareerGuidance – Events with alumni

Our campus office opened in May 2002 and is located directly on the campus of the University of Göttingen. As a central contact point for interested students, graduates and young scientists of all disciplines, we offer individual counselling and information about applications and entry-level careers.

With the new concept "CareerGuidance with alumni" the Career Service of the University of Göttingen pursues the objective of personal exchanges with former students of the University of Göttingen. Through the network of our alumni, we want to build special bonds with companies to intensify the imparting of "insider knowledge" in the field of career management and to provide company-specific and industry-specific information about factors relevant to applications and careers to our students. In addition to the already existing range of events, we offer exclusive interview talks, events and business trips with alumni.

Vocational Information and Career Fair "PraxisBörse" provides annually to all students and graduates the ideal platform to specifically interact with representatives of regional and national companies, non-profit organizations, associations and clubs to get information about jobs and explore opportunities for starting their own careers. At the same time, with its many professional services and individual counselling programmes it creates space for new ideas and thought-provoking issues in the context of their own professional orientation and qualification. Thus, both the students and graduates have the chance to learn about job-relevant key qualifications, job profiles of specific occupations and career opportunities to determine the cross-entry and in this way to accelerate the progress of their own professional career development.
