René Rex: Key competencies for a Master’s of Applied Computer Science

"After my graduation I was fairly quick to realize what I wanted to study: Computer Science! The reason for was my enthusiasm for the interdisciplinary nature of the degree programmes in Göttingen.
However, this interdisciplinary approach also poses problems. Only a very small part of the methods and software packages that are required in higher semesters or perhaps in writing the thesis can be covered by means of courses. The resultant need for training is often very costly and takes up a lot of time. The goal-oriented preparation in events that were conceptualized specifically for this purpose can perhaps not entirely eliminate this hurdle, but at least reduce its height.”

Cecile Genet: Flexible childcare for students
