Evaluation fee for applicants from non-EU/EEA states and stateless persons
In accordance with §18, para. 10 Niedersächsisches Hochschulgesetz and its fee structure, §1, para. 4 and appendix 1, No. 6.2, Göttingen University charges fees for the evaluation of foreign documents submitted to provide evidence of university entrance qualifications.
The fee amounts to 65 euros and is to be paid before the end of the application period.Please note, it is very important to mention the correct reason for transfer, which you can find in the welcome email!
An exemption from these fees is granted to applicants
- accepted to be a doctoral student at Göttingen University,
- applying for a Master’s programme at Göttingen University,
- with a degree from a university in Germany.
Please note that from September 1st, 2019 onwards, the above list specifying reasons for potential exemption from evalution fees is exhaustive.
Should any of these conditions apply, you are eligible to apply for exemption from evaluation fees. Please provide evidence via the university’s online application portal and inform us about your upload at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Evaluation fees can only be paid by bank transfer. Please note that payment in cash or by check is not possible.

In order to allow the quickest possible treatment of your application, you may upload your transfer slip as evidence of payment of the evaluation fee.
