Back in Göttingen

Once you have returned to Göttingen you should write a report on your time abroad (no matter whether your stay was supported by a scholarship foundation or not) to help you put your experiences in some order. This ordering process is a learning process.

This return phase is decisive in determining the quality of your period abroad. You should measure your success or “failure” to fulfil what you had planned to do, ask what you learned from the encounter with other cultures and what consequences this will have for your daily life now that your are returned to your own country. Students who take part in the InDiGU Project and wish to acquire the i²MoVe Certificate are offered a training after returning to Goettingen.

Getting your academic achievements recognized is a process you should start immediately. Students should present transcripts (including names of courses, grades, credits, semester hours and a description of course content) to their institute or department for recognition. This is when previous discussions with the appropriate people should pay off.
